Introducing NW Veteran Resources and the Hometown Veteran Ambassador Program
There is a need for a more complete arena of help through resources that do more than just add confusion and another closed door. Contacts and Leaders of North West Veteran Resources took a journey through government resources and programs, advisory and task force committees, community non-profits, and round tables with veterans of all eras. Sometimes the walls were very frustrating, the lack of awareness of the resources was discouraging while the blocked roads of communication and help threatened to be debilitating. Then, the vision of a network of ambassadors with knowledge or desire to help the veterans seeking help or belonging gain navigation through community resources and outreach was formed.
Northwest Veteran Resources is an all volunteer organization developed by veterans for veterans and the community they call home. It has expanded to community outreach organizations and businesses. The mission is developing a seamless interactive support between community resources for awareness, navigation, and inclusion in the hometown atmosphere.
